What is Vanpooling?

Vanpools are comprised of 5-15 riders and are organized through a regional transportation organization like King County Metro.

Why Vanpool?

It's faster, cheaper, less stressful, and more social than driving alone. It reduces wear and tear on your car and contributes to cleaner air and improved traffic.

What's included?

A monthly fare is based on the number of miles you travel and how many people are in your van and includes: a van, vehicle maintenance, insurance, fuel, and 24-hour roadside assistance.

How to Get Started

  • To form a new van get 5-15 people together to share the commute.
  • Use the R-TRIP Ridematch tool to find vanpools and carpools, or potential riders for your new van that match you home and work locations and times.
